The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Summary:     The series consists mainly of correspondence relating to the resignation or removal from office of officials at the county levels (e.g., State Legislature, District Court, County Commission) from 1844 to 1904.  Some resignation letters include recommendations for replacement appointees.  In addition, the series also contains a small number of resignations from state officers including Senators and Representatives.
