Summary:     These records document the investigations of the activities of Secretary of State Sandra B. Mortham.  The records consist of the reports of: the Leon County State Attorney, dated May 28, 1998, investigating improper solicitation and expenditure of Fla. History Associates funds; and the Auditor General of the State of Florida audit of the Dept. of State dated Feb 20, 1998 and covering the period May 1, 1996 through April 30, 1997 "with selected  Department actions taken through November 30, 1997."
    Also included are backup material and correspondence that predate the investigations as well as some that was generated by the investigations.  The texts of the reports are found in the first fifteen folders of the box.
