Biographical/Historical:     Thomas Burton Adams, Jr. was born March 11, 1917.  After a career in real estate management and agriculture, Adams entered politics and was first elected to the Florida Senate in 1956. In 1960 Adams was elected Secretary of State of Florida.  He served as Secretary of State until elected as Lieutenant Governor in 1971.
Summary:     This series contains press releases and other prepared statements from Secretary of State Tom Adams to the media from 1961 to 1970.  The records cover a wide range of topics relating to Adams' office.  Some correspondence is included.
