Biographical/Historical:     On November 28, 1966, State Chairman William Murfin appointed Bobbie M. James as the first historian of the Florida Republican State Committee, a post that she maintained until 1980. Her husband, William G. James, served as the Florida House of Representatives Minority Leader and as a Palm Beach County State Republican Committee Delegate.
