Biographical/Historical:     The enlargement of the Florida State Capitol in 1936-1937 was a building project of the Florida Construction Program.  It was one of the public works programs funded by the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works, commonly called the Public Works Administration (PWA).  M. Leo Elliott, Architect, of Tampa, Florida, was responsible for the architectural drawings and plans for the Capitol project (PWA Docket No. 1166-RS).
Summary:     The collection consists of architectural drawings of M. Leo Elliott from 1936-1937 for the enlargement of the Florida State Capitol.  It includes floor plans, elevations, and electrical and heating systems.  The collection contains original plans and 24 sheets of revisions.
