Biographical/Historical:     A longtime resident of Tallahassee, Coral Winn Smith Morse (Mrs. Thomas Aubrey Morse) was active in local chapters of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the Florida Colonial Dames, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. In addition, she was a member of the Florida Civil War Centennial Commission. Morse was involved in efforts to preserve historic buildings, including the Union Bank Building, and homes in the Tallahassee area.

Summary:     The collection contains the personal papers and scrapbooks of Cora S. Morse. The records reflect Morse's participation and interest in many patriotic organizations including the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the Florida Civil War Centennial Commission, the Civil War Centennial Commission, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. They also document her activities in helping to preserve the Union Bank and several local historic plantations and homes. The scrapbooks contain correspondence, brochures, photographs, and memorabilia.
