The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Summary:     The collection contains applications and supporting genealogical data for individuals who received a Florida State Pioneer Descendant Certificate issued by the Florida State Genealogical Society. The classification "pioneer" for state certificates refers to those individuals living in Florida prior to statehood on March 3, 1845.
Finding Aids: Folder listing available.  The number in brackets denotes the certificate number and/or the application number.  An asterisk following the entry denotes that the file was not transferred to the Archives.  The microfilm boxes are labeled with the range of certificate numbers included on the roll.  Currently the Archives has available on microfilm - Pioneer Certificate numbers 2 - 2548. 0
