Biographical/Historical:     The Florida State Society is the central organization for the Florida Chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Membership in local chapters of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution is open to women over 18 years of age, who are lineal descendants of those who aided or served in the War for American Independence.  The Society promotes historical, educational, and patriotic work.
Summary:     The collection consists of a microfilm copy of the records of the Florida State Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution from 1904 to 1960.  The records include conference minutes (1904-1908, 1912-1922); board minutes (1911-1924, 1932-1940); roll books (1918-1922); membership lists (c. 1910-1940); and museum gift records (1958-1960).  It documents the activities of the state organization in its relations with the local Florida chapters and the National Society.
