Biographical/Historical:     In 1978-1979, Wakulla County Public Library sponsored an oral history project to collect information on the growth and development of businesses and communities in Wakulla County and about the social life of its citizens.  Audiotaped interviews of people living in Wakulla County were conducted by high school students as part of the project.
Summary:     This series contains 11 audiotaped interviews of people living in Wakulla County, including the communities of Crawfordville, Newport, Sopchoppy, and St. Marks.  There are also photocopies of the papers written by the student interviewers, which include a summary of the interview, biographical sketch, and photograph of the participant.
    The persons interviewed and the topics were:  1) Aaron Joseph Brown (Growing up in the backwoods in Wakulla and Taylor Counties); 2) Mrs. Fred Ladd, Joe Ladd, Mrs. Marie Ladd, Raymond Hamlin, Sr. and Raymond Hamlin, Jr. (Early Newport); 3) Harry Morrison (Life in Wakulla County); 4) Judge A. L. Porter (History of the Wakulla County Chamber of Commerce); 5) Willie Russell Quigg (Early life around Sopchoppy); 6) Roy Rehwinkel (Growing up and owning a store in Wakulla County); 7) Raymond P. Revell (Sopchoppy); 8) Mary P. Tucker (Sopchoppy); 9) Eunice Green Ward (Growing up in Wakulla County); 10) Jessie Thomas Ward (Life around St. Marks and the lighthouse); and 11) Judge Ben C. Willis (Wakulla County).
