Biographical/Historical:     The Concord Missionary Baptist Church is located near Lovett in Madison County, Florida. It is situated on 20 acres of land given by the Church's first pastor, Richard Johnson Mays. The church was constituted on June 20, 1841 and has held services to the present day.

Summary:     The collection contains a photocopy of the records contained in the minute book of the Concord Missionary Baptist Church. It contains the minutes of the regular conference meetings, including the reception of new members. Following the minutes are membership lists of white and Black members; and lists of members baptized at the church. The collection also includes a sermon titled, "A Kingdom which Cannot Be."
