The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     The Migrant Labor Program was created in 1974 (Ch. 74-307, Laws) as part of the Division of Community Services of the Dept. of Community Affairs.  It assumed the duties of the Division of Migrant Labor (Ch. 69-106, Laws).  The Program cooperated with local, state, and federal agencies to develop and implement programs for migrant workers.  The Migrant Labor Program was transferred to the Executive Office of the Governor in 1979 (Ch. 79-190, Laws).
Summary:     This series contains the outgoing correspondence of the Migrant Labor Program and its predecessor agency, the Division of Migrant Labor, from 1970 to 1978.  The records document the administration of migrant labor programs in Florida.
