Summary:     This series consists of worker's compensation docket books of the Industrial Relations Commission and its predecessor, the Florida Industrial Commission, from 1941 to 1979.  The docket books document the filing of various legal instruments as each compensation case progressed.  For each case, the books provide basic case information including claim number; name of employee; name of claimant (usually same asemployee); attorneys for employee and/or claimant; name of employer; insurance carrier; attorneys for employer or carrier; and date of accident.
Following the basic case information is a listing of the legal instruments filed in the case, providing date filed and type of instrument (e.g. notice of hearing, request for continuance, stipulation, petition, claim letter, order approving stipulation, order approving petition, order dismissing, etc.).  In the case of orders, beginning with Docket Book 24 (1955) the books also provide the date copies were mailed to parties in the case, and the book and page from Series 856, Worker's Compensation Order Books, containing the text of the order.
In the front of each docket book is an index arranged alphabetically by first letter of claimant's last name.
