The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Summary:     This series contains outgoing correspondence files from the Office of the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Employment Security during the administration of Secretary Hugo D. Menendez. Part of the outgoing correspondence is routine in nature and deals with job promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, and recommendations for hiring.  However, other correspondence deals with job training, apprenticeship and vocational education; labor problems; handicapped and disabled employment; farm labor contractors and agricultural workers; and drug-free work force.
    Also included with the correspondence are miscellaneous reports dealing with many of the above topics.  Researchers studying the history and problems of the labor force in Florida would find this series to be of interest.
