The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     Within the Florida Department of State, the Division of Historical Resources administers the Museum of Florida History, which is located in the R. A. Gray Building in downtown Tallahassee. Opened in 1977, the museum focuses on artifacts and eras unique to Florida's development and on roles that Floridians have played in national and global events. Its permanent exhibits explore over 20,000 years of Florida history while its temporary and traveling exhibits explore a variety of cultural and historical subjects.

Summary:     This series consists of black-and-white and color photographic prints and color slides of exhibits, artifacts, and exhibit fabrications at the Museum of Florida History. There are approximately 160 prints and approximately 900 slides. The images primarily depict the design and construction of early permanent and non-permanent exhibits within the Museum of Florida history. The series also includes images documenting exhibit opening events and speakers, artifacts, and exhibits in other locations such as the Florida Historic Capitol and the Supreme Court.
