The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     Development Support and Environmental Management (DSEM) is a group of divisions and programs within Leon County government that provide permitting, review, and approval of land development activities. The primary mission of DSEM is to ensure the continued vitality of the County, including both the built and natural environments, by promoting awareness and compliance with the Board's adopted growth management regulations.

Summary:     This collection consists of photographic slides, prints, and negatives created and maintained by Leon County's Department of Development Support and Environmental Management (DSEM). The images document the county's land development research and projects. The photos primarily depict street scenes and structures, but there are a few photos depicting the construction of businesses and parts of Interstate 10, and landscaping. This collection is notable in that it contains images of structures that no longer exist or have changed occupants.
