Summary:     This collection consists of a letter and several photographs documenting various 19th century Florida industries. The letter is from an unknown sender to Mr. L. G. Reagin, Advertising Agent of the Gasparilla Carnival Festival in Tampa, Florida. It discusses the impracticalities of Reagin's proposed specifications for electrical illumination for the carnival. The letter includes Reagin's original specifications. The photographs depicts various aspects of work and leisure in Florida, including a Black woman reading next to a palm tree in Dixie County, two hunters with an alligator, citrus picking and packing, and Black workers at a phosphate mine. There are also two scenic photographs of Silver Springs, Florida.
