The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. Biographical/Historical:     Franklin County was created from parts of Gadsden County by an act of the Legislative Council (No. 42, Laws) on February 8, 1832, and underwent one boundary change in 1851 (Ch. 412, Laws). The Clerk of the Circuit Court in each county serves as the official custodian of deed, marriage, and probate records

Summary:     This series consists of one incomplete set of bound papers from Franklin County from 1852 to 1875. The first set of records in these papers is a log of packages received from ships likely docking at the Port of Apalachicola from 1852 to 1867. The log lists the name of the vessel, sender, recipient, package contents, and remarks. The second set of records is a trial docket register for the Franklin County Court from  1874 to 1875. These entries list the name of the parties and attorneys, actions taken, rules, orders, and remarks.
