The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     The Florida Real Estate Commission was created in 1925 (Ch. 10233, Laws).  It became part of the Division of Occupations, Dept. of Professional and Occupational Regulation in 1969 (Ch. 69-106). Its duties are to foster the education of real estate bookers and salespersons, to hold examinations for applicants, to issue certificates of registration and collect fees, and to file injunctions restraining brokers and salespersons from improper practice.
Summary:     The series contains the investigation files of the Florida Real Estate Commission which document investigations made against real estate companies and agents from 1970 to 1975.  Information includes file number, complainant, defendant, nature of complaint, and opinion rendered.  Records include complaint dockets, interview charges, and correspondence.
