Summary:     ******DEACCESSIONED*****

This series contains a letter dated September 2, 1891, and addressed to W. H. Sanders, M. D. On the back of the letter are notes on Rosanna Weatherford, reportedly a sister of Bill Weatherford. The notes mention her having been in Fort Pierce the day before the Massacre of Fort Mims in 1813. There is also discussion of her marriage and the ceremony at the head of Perdido River. The notes mention “a son of Bill Weatherford called Charles [Sr.?]” being still living on Little River, near Mt. Pleasant and 'though 90 years old is very sprightly and active.'" There is a typed line on the letter that reads, “Notes taken by my father, the late Dr. Edward Davies McDaniel, of Camden, Ala. of interest in connection with “Romantic Passages”, by A. B. Meek.”
