Biographical/Historical:     Dr. Flavius Augustus Byrd (1822-1874) was a prominent physician of Miccosukee, Florida. He was active in public affairs.

Summary:     This collection includes the voting record of the Miccosukee precinct for the October 1, 1849 election for state Senate between A. E. Maxwell and N. J. Thompson. Also included in this collection is a note from the descendent of Dr. Flavius Augustus Byrd to State Librarian Dorothy Dodd. The note details that the voting record was found in Dr. Byrd's papers.
