Summary:     This collection consists of an undated letter and manuscript written by an unnamed author. The letter discusses the author's father, who moved to Territorial Florida and settled in Hickstown, Madison County. According to the author, their father, their father's sons, and the family servants built the first church in Madison County in 1830 in Hickstown. Both the author's father and mother are buried in the Old City Cemetery in Jacksonville. The author recalls other families living in their neighborhood in Madison County, including the Moseleys, the Livingstons, and the Hartridges. The manuscript, titled "The Pioneer Preachers," tells the tale of pioneer preachers, their struggles, their faith, and their legacy.
