Summary:     This series contains the official and extant copies of certificates issued to intrastate common carriers by the Florida Public Service Commission and its predecessor agencies from 1937 to 1980.  The records document the Commission's issuance of certificates to common carriers whose functions were to provide services of public convenience and necessity.
    The information on the certificates includes the name of the company, geographical perimeters which the certificate covers, and type of business.  Some certificates include certificates re-issued for reasons such as name changes, perimeter changes, etc. and are attached to the original certificate.  Cancellations and re-application certificates are noted as such.  This series is incomplete.  The series includes only the volumes for the limited common carriers, freight forwarders, and air common carriers.
