The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     The United States Army Air Forces created the Air National Guard with the National Security Act of 1947. The Guard was housed in facilities at Jacksonville's Imeson Field until a separate base was constructed in the 1960s. The Guard originally consisted of four component units: 159th Fighter Squadron, Utility Flight of the 159th, Detachment C of the 217th Air Service Group, and 159th Weather Station. The 159th Fighter Squadron was one of only six units in the United States assigned a combat role in Korea. An Assistant Adjutant General for Air commands the Air National Guard.

Summary:     This series contains morning or strength reports prepared by various units of the Air National Guard. The reports list the name and number of personnel assigned, discharged, transferred, and appointed to the various units of the Guard. The series also includes relevant orders relating to personnel changes.
