The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:   Columbia County was created by an act (No. 25, Laws) of the Legislative Council on February 4, 1832.  Each County Supervisor of Elections in the State of Florida is mandated by Florida Statute 98.015  to conduct elections, register voters, appoint deputy supervisors, and maintain custody of registration books.  The Supervisor of Elections is elected in each county during a general election every four years.    Each supervisor shall, before performing any of his or her duties, take the oath prescribed in s. 5, Art. II of the State Constitution.
Summary: The series contains names and ages of those Columbia County residents taking part in the elections for the dates noted  on each volume.
