The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     The Florida Seaport Transportation and Economic Development (FSTED) Council is a public entity created by statute (s. 311.09, F.S.) within the Department of Transportation to promote economic development by facilitating local seaport capital improvement projects. The Council consists of the port directors of the 14 publicly owned seaports and a representative from the Department of Transportation, the Department of Community Affairs, and the Governor's Office of Tourism, Trade and Economic Development.
Summary:     This series consists of primarily of funding proposals and project applications submitted to the Florida Seaport Transportation and Economic Development Program (FSTED) for seaport capital improvement projects such as repairs, construction, etc.  Additional materials in this series include project reports, Council meeting summaries, agenda, and minutes, and correspondence with port authority officials.
