Summary:     This series contains the slides, photographs, and interview tapes generated during fieldwork conducted by Bureau folklorist Nancy J. Nusz, primarily for the purpose of developing a folk arts learning kit in 1989. Also included in this series is a copy of the learning kit, including curriculum, student activity sheets,  and overhead transparencies.

    Photo-documentation exists in this series for Seminole doll making by Mary Frances Johns; ketubah (Jewish marriage contract) artistry by Uriel Goldsmith; wood carving by Jose Orta; boatbuilding (Everglades skiffs) by Glen Simmons; pysanky (Ukrainian egg decorating) by Lubow Dochwat Gurley; blacksmithing by Buddy Page; wooden lure making by Chuck Carr; fishing fly making by Carl Hansen; and pine needle basketry by Connie Palmer. Audio cassette tapes include interviews with Johns, Goldsmith, Gurley, Panayiota King (Greek clothing and embroidery), and Page. Also included is a 1986 interview with Mary Jane Koenous regarding Seminole patchwork.
