The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     In 2003, the House Coordinating Committee on Public Safety became a standing committee with a permanent staff under the provisions of Ch. 68-35, Laws.  The committee assumed some of the functions of the Select Committee on Security (2001-2002).


Summary:     This series contains the records for the House Coordinating Committee on Public Safety (2003- present).  The records document committee and subcommittee meetings and contain discussion on legislation pertaining to security.  The records include information on bill files, meeting files, subject files, and correspondence. This series also contains records of the House Select Committee on Security (2001-2002).
