The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     In 2000, the House Committee on Natural Resources and Environmental Protection became a standing committee with a permanent staff under the provisions of Ch. 68-35, Laws. The Committee reviewed legislation on Florida's natural resources, management of state lands, state mineral resources, state recreational areas, fisheries, game lands, wildlife management, coastal zone management, pollution, sewage disposal, waste management, beach erosion, and water resources development. This committee's functions were previously handled by the House Committee on Natural Resources, Committee on Environmental Protection.
Summary:     This series contains recordings of House Committee on Natural Resources and Environmental Protection (2001-2002) and Joint Committee on Everglades Oversight (1999-2002) meetings. The recordings document legislation on Florida's natural resources, management of state lands, state mineral resources, state recreational areas, fisheries, game lands, wildlife management, coastal zone management, pollution, sewage disposal, waste management, beach erosion, and water resources development.
