Biographical/Historical:     Maria Juana "Jenny" Martinez-Ybor was born in 1867 in Cuba. She was one of eight children of Vicente Martinez-Ybor, a cigar magnate and founder of Tampa's Ybor City, and Mercedes de las Revillas. Amalia Y Elena Martinez Ybor was one of her sisters. Jenny was a graduate of New York University, married in 1890, and had eight children of her own. She died in 1962 in Havana, Cuba.
Summary:     This collection contains two photographs of members of the Martinez-Ybor family. The first photograph is a wedding photo of Jenny Martinez Ybor and Ygnacio Castaneda taken on October 27, 1890 in Havana, Cuba. The second photograph is a portrait of Amalia Y Elena Martinez Ybor (Cuca Ybor Cervantes) taken on March 1, 1956.
