Summary:     This collection contains thirty-seven photographs of the Johnston family and of the Miami area. Included are photographs of two Miami gas stations taken in 1923, as well as several of the Johnston family and three photos of family friend Fred Pine, Dade County solicitor in the 1930s. Also included are two bird's-eye views of Miami taken from the same location in different years, providing documentation of the development of downtown Miami. The Johnston family photographs provide a sense of the social life in early twentieth century Miami.
