The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Summary:     This collection consists of Tallahassee area photographs taken in the 1920s, and includes images of houses, churches, public buildings, people, and local businesses. Most of the collection comprises of images of Tallahassee residences. Public buildings include the State Supreme Court, the State Road Department, the State Capitol, Florida State College for Women, Leon High School, and the city waterworks. The photographs also document several local businesses such as the Middle Florida Ice Company, Leon Ice Cream Company, Tallahassee Lumber Company, and several hotels. These photographs provide information on the architecture, construction, and spatial layout of the Tallahassee area in the 1920s. They also provide a sense of the social life and daily activities of Florida's capital city. Many of the houses and public and private buildings no longer exist. Finally, there are several photographs of the Bierly and Carter families, including three photographs of Senator Hodges at Goodwood Plantation.
