The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     The Florida Legislature created the Division of Elections as part of the Department of State in 1969 (Ch. 69-106, Laws of Florida). Prior to 1969, Florida's Office of the Secretary maintained election records. The Division of Elections administers all elections (primary, special, and general); publishes and maintains the Florida Administrative Code; and serves as the official records custodian of oaths and bonds, county ordinances, municipal charters and annexations, proclamations, extraditions, executive orders, and the official laws of Florida.

Summary:     This series documents county precinct boundaries in Florida from 1960 to 2005. The records include precinct maps and legal descriptions of precincts, as well as some supporting documentation such as voter registration statistics, referendums, ordinances and resolutions. Some of the maps are oversized.
