The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Summary:   This series contains correspondence files, subject files, newspaper clippings, press releases, and fact sheets documenting the administration, programs, and activities of Spaceport Florida.  The correspondence files typically contain letters and memorandums which are primarily administrative in nature.  Much of the correspondence deals with the creation and expansion of the agency and covers such topics as staffing, equipment, leases, financial activities, development of programs,  exhibits and presentations, and legal and legislative correspondence. 




    This series also contains numerous subject files.  These files cover many space industry  topics such as:  launch support facilities, launch infrastructure, space commerce, space tourism, the International Space Station, next generation expendable launch vehicles (ELV's),  the Apollo/Saturn V Center Museum,  NASA funding,  and the Titan IV rocket motor facility at Camp Blanding. 

    Of special interest are the many reports and position papers such as the Governor's Commission on Space, the Commercial Space Transportation Advisory Committee (COMSTAC), the Commercial Space Advisory Committee (CSAC), and the White House Office of Science & Technology Policy.  Also of interest are reports detailing the history and growth of space development in Florida, especially the early history of Cape Canaveral and the Mercury Space Program; single stage to orbit programs; and the X-33 program.
