The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Summary:     This series documents the establishment of the Spaceport Florida Authority in 1989.  Records include Florida laws and bills, Florida Legislative staff analyses of bills, Florida House and Senate Journals pages, federal laws and bills, and testimony before the U.S. House of Representatives.  Also of interest are correspondence, memoranda, newspaper clippings, contracts, RFPs,  lobbyist information, and reports relating to the establishment of the Spaceport Florida Authority.

    Especially of interest are reports and feasibility studies by the Florida Spaceport Authority and by the Office of Commercial Space Transportation, U.S. Department of Transportation, detailing the need for commercial improvement in space launch infrastructure.  Also of note are reports discussing international competition in launch services, especially from China, Europe (Arianespace), Russia, and Japan and the importance of the United States developing and maintaining a strong commercial expendable launch vehicle capability.
