Summary:     This series comprises an artificial collection of photographic and film documentation of family life and the tobacco industry in Florida, collected by the Museum of Florida History.  The collection includes two photograph albums of the Hermann Fleitman family of Live Oak Plantation, Leon County, depicting plantation and hunting scenes, sports (including golf and baseball), a few house interiors, and some images of African Americans.  The collection also includes three 16mm motion picture films concerning the tobacco industry in Tampa ("Flower of Tampa," numbers 4, 5, and 6), and 59 glass slides also depicting Tampa's tobacco industry.

Ownership/Custodial History: The two Hermann Fleitman family photograph albums were originally transferred to the Museum of Florida History from the Brokaw- McDougal House in Tallahassee before being transferred to the Florida State Archives.
