Biographical/Historical:     Samuel J. and Hannah Bartram were Quakers who lived in Southeast Pennsylvania. In the late-1890s, they traveled along the east coast of Florida from Jacksonville to Miami.

Summary:     The collection consists of photographs that depict the Bartrams' trip on the Ocklawaha River and a trip down the east coast of Florida from Jacksonville to St. Augustine, Daytona, Rockledge, Cocoa, Palm Beach, and Miami. The images document steamships on the Ocklawaha and Indian rivers, the Armory at Jacksonville, the Clarendon Inn at Daytona, and riding chairs and a mule-pulled trolley in Palm Beach.
