Summary:     The series consists of the final orders kept by the Department of State from 1983 to 1988.  Section 120.53, Florida Statutes, requires that the Department collect final orders from all state government agencies and make available for public inspection and copying, all orders issued after January 1, 1975.  A final order, as defined in Section 120.52 (11), Florida Statutes, is a final agency decision.  The decision is final when reduced to writing and filed by the agency clerk in the office of the Cabinet and Legal Affairs of the Department of State.  Pursuant to the order, though, a party has the right to judicial review by filing a petition in the District Court of Appeal in the appellate district where the agency maintains its headquarters or where a party resides.
