Biographical/Historical:     Watt's Plantation is a 3,000-acre tract of land located northeast of Marianna and east of Greenwood, Florida, along the Chattahoochee River. In 1927, the land was primarily an orange grove with some space reserved for other crops and livestock.

Summary:     This collection consists of a report describing the physical attributes of Watt's Plantation in Jackson County, Florida, apparently in preparation for possible development of the land. The report describes the farm's location; soil; topography; climate; products and marketing; transportation; nearby developments; general remarks; structures, fencing, and roads; and types and market value of timber. George C. Borchardt of Marianna, Florida, prepared the report for Adolph Gortemoller at the Palmer House, an upscale hotel in Chicago, Illinois.
