Biographical/Historical:     Bolling Baker was an attorney who represented Gadsden County in the 1850 Florida House of Representatives and served as the Senate Secretary in 1865. He and physician William F. Robertson ran the Baker and Robertson Company in Quincy (Gadsden County), Florida.
Summary:     This collection contains a volume documenting the Gadsden County planters who shipped their tobacco and cotton with Bolling Baker. The volume illustrates the types of distinguishing marks used to identify tobacco and cotton bundles sent to market. The entries also include information concerning the price for which the company sold its products.
