Biographical/Historical:
Summary:     The collection contains applications and supporting genealogical data for individuals who received a Florida County Pioneer Descendant Certificate issued by the Florida State Genealogical Society. The classification "pioneer" for county certificates refers to those individuals living in a county at the time of its creation. In some instances, the county certificate is filed with the state certificate if an individual applied for both at the same time.

Finding Aids: Folder listing available.  Name index available at the Archives.  The certificate number is noted in brackets.  If the documentation is filed with another certificate, the number is noted in parentheses. An asterisk following an entry denotes that the application file was not transferred to the Archives. Certificate numbers are listed on the microfilm box.

Because of this, a singular application may contain two or three application types. Applications are filed in priority order; first M84-13, then M90-21, then N2019-8.
