The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Summary:     This series documents the operations and spending of Federal grant money from U.S. Civil Service Commission.  The grant program was under the Intergovernmental Personnel Act of 1970 (Public Law 91-648) to promote intergovernmental cooperation in improving personnel administration.  The Division of Personnel was responsible for administering this program.  That involved contacts with state agencies and local governments insuring knowledge and understanding of the program; the review and processing of grant-in-aid applications from state agencies and local government; the monitoring, distributing and accounting for the Federal funds involved; and maintaining liaison with the Federal government in the overall administration of the program.
    The series contains IPA Grant Program guidelines and handbooks; correspondence among grantor, grantee (the State of Florida), and subgrantees (all other state and local jurisdictions receiving monies under the state plan) about the grant; final and quarterly financial statements; federal grant applications; and audit report of the grant projects.
