The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     The Florida Alliance for Arts Education (FAAE) is a private, nonprofit corporation affiliated with the national Alliance for Arts Education (AAE), which the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts sponsors. FAAE is a coalition of representatives of the major arts education organizations in the state, as well as school boards, state agencies, and arts councils. The purpose of the Alliance is to promote all facets of the arts in education through student programs, teacher education, and in-service training. The Florida Alliance for Arts Education serves as an advisory board to the Florida Department of Education and promotes the arts in all Florida schools, both public and private.
Summary:     The collection contains the records of the Florida Alliance for Arts Education (FAAE). It contains administrative files, budget files, correspondence, grant files, minutes, newsletters, position papers, publications, and reports. The collection documents the activities of the Alliance and its interactions with the national Alliance for Arts Education (AAE) and other state groups.
