Summary:     This collection consists of photographs documenting the Dade County legislative weekend in Miami for Florida legislators, sponsored by area businesses during Bicentennial Legislative Appreciation Week. The black-and-white photographs were mounted on poster board with captions and related memorabilia (e.g. ticket stubs), supposedly for an exhibit commemorating the December 2-5, 1976 event.

    The photographs depict legislators and their spouses at both organized and informal activities, including arrival at Miami International Airport; the official Welcome to Dade County and official breakfasts and dinners; arrival at the Carillon Hotel in Miami Beach; a Latin Fiesta; golf and tennis; a Burdines Fashion Show; the 15th Annual Graybeards Reunion; tours of the University of Miami, Florida International University, Dade County, and the Vizcaya Museum; the Miami Seaquarium; the Hialeah Race Track; Miami Dolphins vs. Buffalo Bills at the Orange Bowl stadium; and the Bon Voyage Party ending the weekend. None of the photographs are individually identified.

Ownership/Custodial History: Sponsors of the Dade County legislative weekend gave the photograph boards to Allen Morris, who later donated them to the Florida State Archives.
