The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     The Florida Citizens Tax Council was created upon the request of Governor LeRoy Collins in 1955 to study the state's tax structure. Each county also had its own council that provided reports on the public revenue.  The Council was terminated in 1957.
Summary:     This series contains the records of the Florida Citizens Tax Council, 1956-1957.  The records include county reports, correspondence, agenda, and revenue statistics.
