Biographical/Historical:     W. Primo Lord was an undertaker in Tampa, Florida, beginning around 1919. At some point he and Henry S. Fernandez became business owners and funeral directors of the Lord and Fernandez Funeral Home in Tampa.

    Dick Stowers was funeral director of the Stowers Funeral Home, established in 1960 in Brandon, Florida.
Summary:     The collection contains a microfilm copy of burial records of the Lord and Fernandez Funeral Home in Tampa, Florida. A fire in 1925 destroyed all prior records. The burial records document information on the deceased such as name, closest relative, race, place of birth, address, date of death, place of death, certifying physician, place of funeral, officiating clergy, parents and specifics of funeral arrangements. A few volumes are indexed alphabetically by surname.

    The collection also includes the funeral records of Stowers Funeral Home from 1961 to 1966, which contain the same information as listed above.
