Biographical/Historical:     In 1978-1979, Wakulla County Public Library sponsored an oral history project to collect information on the growth and development of businesses and communities in Wakulla County and about the social life of its citizens. As part of the project, high school students conducted audiotaped interviews of people living in Wakulla County.

Summary:     This collection contains 11 audiotaped interviews of people living in Wakulla County, including the communities of Crawfordville, Newport, Sopchoppy and St. Marks. There are also photocopies of the papers written by the student interviewers, which include a summary of the interview, biographical sketch and photograph of the participant.

    The persons interviewed and the topics discussed are as follows:
