Biographical/Historical:     The Mount Olive Lodge No. 5 of Tallahassee, Florida, is a lodge of Freemasons affiliated with the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the State of Florida, known collectively as the Masons. The lodge is nonpartisan and nonsectarian, has the right to do all work of Ancient Craft masonry, and its membership is selective. A person who desires to become a Mason must be a man, believing in the existence of a Supreme Being; at least twenty-one years of age; of good moral character, temperate, industrious and capable of earning of livelihood; literate; and able to comply with all requirements of the ceremonies of initiation and modes of recognition. This fraternal brotherhood instructs members in moral truths, provides scholarships for higher learning, and does charitable works.
