Biographical/Historical:
Summary:     This series primarily consists of copies and transcriptions of records of the City of Apalachicola, Franklin County, Florida. Included are burial permits (indexed) and cemetery records of the city dating from the latter half of the 19th century; a copy of a list of registered voters (indexed) in the city from 1874 to 1884; and census (indexed) of the city, June 1, 1884 - May 31, 1885.
    The series also contains copies of some miscellaneous excerpts and articles pertaining chiefly to watercraft, riverboats and sea-going vessels, their passengers, personnel and freight in Apalachicola and the surrounding Franklin County area. A copy of Rosa Gibbons Lovett's "The Lovett Family of Apalachicola, Florida, and Allied Families," is also included.
Two other documents reproduced concern soldiers of Florida in a number of wars: "Soldiers of Florida in the Seminole Indian, Civil, and Spanish-American Wars" (Florida Board of State Institutions, 1903) and "World War II honor list of dead and missing from the state."
