The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Biographical/Historical:     The City of Miami in Dade County, Florida was incorporated in 1896 with a City Council to govern.  In 1921, a Commission-Manager form of municipal government was adopted and a new city charter drafted.
Summary:     This series contains ordinances from 1912 to 1979 maintained by the City Clerk's Office in Miami, Florida.  These ordinances reflect the laws of the City of Miami passed by the City Commission and its predecessor, the City Council.
