The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Summary:     This series contains the reading files maintained by the Governor's Chief of Staff.  These files include some incoming correspondence and memoranda and outgoing correspondence that dealt with the interests and activities of the Executive Office of the Governor.  The series also includes some transcriptions of dictation tapes, made by the governor and sent to the Chief of Staff as memoranda, which illustrate the governor's interests and activities during this period.  The Chiefs of Staff for this period were Charles Reed, John T. Herndon, and Samuel Shorstein.
